Our Goals

Who or what is an Expeditor?

Definition:

Expediting comes from the Latin word expedire meaning perform quickly. Within the scope of technical purchasing it can refer to quality and deadline control measures, however the direct translation “perform quickly” does not necessarily apply in all situations. The aim of expediting can be to “avoid delays”.

An Expeditor is someone who facilitates a process or completion of a project. It is a position or role typically found within project management, construction, purchasing and production manufacturing control.

What does an Expeditor do?

The expeditor works on behalf of the client to check the order backlog of their suppliers, verifying items that require long production lead times for quality and delivery deadline aspects.

Expeditors are routinely used in many industries but less so, in the project-based, capital equipment and machine building industry for pharmaceutical, Medtech and IVD manufacturers.

We want to change this and believe that Expeditors are the missing link

With the increase in globalisation, collaboration between countries and companies, the centralisation of certain equipment providers and more turnkey, bespoke projects, supply chains can be extended and span across different regions and even countries.

Years of hands-on experience have taught us that many projects are often compromised due to geographic distance, time zones and the inability to visit suppliers often enough. Sometimes due to nothing more than normal technicalclarification arising through the natural ‘ebb-and-flow’ of capital equipment projects and the availability of key project personnel to get together at certain times.

There is a famous European saying:

„Diz ſagent uns die wîſen, ein nagel behalt ein îſen, ein îſen ein ros, ein ros ein man, ein man ein burc, der ſtrîten kan.“ (“The wise tell us that a nail keeps a shoe, a shoe a horse, a horse a man, a man a castle, that can fight.”) (c. 1230 Freidank Bescheidenheit).

Thus, in principle, our aim is to ensure the nail arrives in due time to not affect the shoeing of the horse and thesubsequent potential negative chain of events.

Together we create sustainable value!

Every successful project starts with the first step.
